Hello there, I'm Becca. I'm a jewellery designer and goldsmith creating original pieces from an independent studio on the Cornish coast. After 18 years in the industry I’m still fascinated by the possibilities of jewellery design. I love how much meaning can be woven in, how much thought or history a single item can hold, the connections between jewellery and people, the possibilities of the materials, and the process of getting covered in grime and gold dust.

About
Making jewellery is one of the great loves of my life. I fell into it by accident during my Sixth Form years, adding it to my timetable to fill up the week. I’m eternally grateful to the DT teacher who ran the course, and let a clueless 17 year old play with a blowtorch. Since then, I’ve gained a degree in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter, been a pearl threader, an enamel polisher, and a workshop assistant to one of the country’s most respected goldsmiths. In 2018 I relocated to the Cornish coast and now run my own workshop by the sea in Penryn. I focus on bespoke commissions, designing pieces with individual couples & clients.

Ethical statement
As standard I use SMO gold in the workshop. It’s a traceable yet commercially competitive option which I believe contributes to rises in standards in the gold mining industry while also providing a good price for customers. SMO Gold is currently sourced in Mali (at the Yanfolila Mine) and Cote D’Ivoire (at the Ity Mine). You can read more about SMO Gold here: https://singlemineorigin.com/ I can also work with your own heirloom metals.
