The Bespoke Story

"I am obsessed with this ring! J’s description of it being ‘opulent’ hits the nail on the head.

The design has evolved dramatically from our original concept, inspired by the couple’s love of the Jurassic Coast and fossils, but I love where we’ve ended up. The use of natural, unplated white gold for the setting remained from our initial ideas, but we went for a contemporary design with a nod to Art Deco, a style both of them love.

The stunning oval diamond is classically claw set, but with a beautiful Deco inspired gallery on the side of the setting. Either side is a stepped fan of tapered baguette diamonds. The light catches these diamonds beautifully from all angles – it really does shimmer.

The bow-like shoulders are undercut ready for a future fitted wedding ring that will snuggle against the oval diamond setting."

Art Deco Engagement Rings

These exquisite pieces, known for their bold geometric shapes and lavish ornamentation, encapsulate the glamour and exuberance of the 1920s. The Art Deco era, renowned for its unique blend of modern style and fine craftsmanship, saw the introduction of platinum and diamonds in engagement ring design. Perfect for those who appreciate vintage charm and historical elegance, these rings are a piece of history. The perfect Art Deco engagement ring that resonates with your personal style and the rich heritage of this iconic period in jewellery design.

Jodie Gearing

Jodie is passionate about the stories attached to the commissions she designs. Our resident designer takes pride in working to each client’s individual brief and can turn her hand to any style from intricate pieces, to slick and contemporary designs.

Jodie was born and raised in the Bedfordshire countryside. She had an innate love for Art and Design so pursued this avenue by moving to Canterbury to complete a Foundation Course at The University for the Creative Arts. It was here that she discovered a love of metal work and jewellery when she experimented with mixed media. Paper, fabric, masking tape and paint turned to plastics and then copper, silver and gemstones – she had discovered jewellery design!

The next steps were a degree in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing and Jewellery at The University for the Creative Arts in Rochester where she won several awards and bursaries for her creative designs. After graduating in 2009, she worked for a bespoke jeweller for a year. Here, she fell in love with the stories of the clients she worked with and relished the education part of the job – passing on knowledge of precious stones, metals and design to customers to enable them to make an informed decision.
