I’m Joshua, a documentary-style photographer based in Sheffield, photographing proposals, weddings and couples across the Peak District and beyond. My approach is relaxed, natural and discreet. For proposals especially, I know how important it is for the moment to still feel completely genuine, so I’ll help with planning, locations and timings beforehand, then keep out of the way and photograph everything as it naturally happens. I regularly photograph proposals around some of the Peak District’s best-known locations, as well as quieter spots for couples wanting something more private.
I can also help suggest locations based on the kind of proposal you’re planning, whether that’s a dramatic viewpoint, woodland walk or somewhere with a more intimate feel. Most of my work is candid and documentary-led, with just a little gentle direction afterwards for some relaxed portraits together. Above all, I want the experience to feel easy, personal and true to you both.
